1. What was your first job?
My first job was as a customer service associate at Payless shoe store when I was 16 years old. My first full-time job out of college was as the development and marketing associate at Crossroads Community Services in Dallas.

2. What’s your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure is definitely watching The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. It’s been a guilty pleasure since I was in elementary school! Also, cheesecake.

3. What advice would you give to your teenage self?
“Relax. You don’t have to be perfect. It’s going to be okay.”

4. What’s your favorite movie scene and why?
This is a tough one because I love movies so much! I’m guilty of watching my favorites over and over again, but I would have to say the finale scene in Dirty Dancing. The dancing, the song “The Time of my Life,” and the iconic Patrick Swayze line: “Nobody puts baby in the corner.” What more could you want?

5. What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
One thing people might be surprised to know about me is that I was a theater kid! I love to sing and dance and even had the opportunity to star in one of my all-time favorite musicals – Grease – in college as the beauty school dropout, Frenchy.

No family should have to go through what mine has and the work the Foundation does is helping prevent that. It’s so critical and necessary to prioritize mental health and I’m excited to be a part of it.

10. Why is Grant Halliburton Foundation’s mission important to you?
Grant Halliburton Foundation’s mission is important to me because I’ve faced my own challenges with mental illness and substance abuse since I was a teenager. I also know firsthand what it’s like to lose a loved one to suicide.

This May will mark five years since my dad took his own life. My family and I will never know if things could have turned out differently had he received the proper help he needed at the time. No family should have to go through what mine has and the work the Foundation does is helping prevent that. It’s so critical and necessary to prioritize mental health and I’m excited to be a part of it.
