For Grant Halliburton Foundation, 2020 will be remembered as a year of resilience, something we teach to children and teens nearly every day. Resilience is all about continuing to move forward in the face of life’s hurdles.
This year has been the ultimate test of resilience, and we’ve done our best to meet the challenges head-on.
During the pandemic, the number of North Texans with mental health struggles has increased significantly. People who had never experienced mental health problems before called our Here For Texas Mental Health Navigation Line seeking help and hope––and we were able to work with them to provide resources for help and hope.
Thanks to your support, this year we reached more than 30,000 students, educators, parents, and professionals with life-saving mental health and suicide prevention training.
You’ve made it possible for us to be in schools and communities, in person and virtually, day in and day out, working to promote better mental health, reduce youth suicide, and strengthen community resources.
Of all the words I’ve Zoomed, texted, emailed, and said this year, two words stand out: THANK YOU. And so once more this year, I want to thank you for all you do.
On behalf of everyone at Grant Halliburton Foundation, we wish you a happy holiday season.
