Here are 10 things to know about Cerena!
1. What was your first job?
My first job was babysitting the Jonas brothers.
2. What’s your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure is eating Double Stuffed Oreos.
3. What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Trust your gut and invest in eBay!
4. What’s your favorite movie scene and why?
My favorite scene is at the end of “Kubo and the Two Strings” when the evil character becomes human in the town he destroyed. He has no memory of it and asks, “Who am I?” The people of the village start saying only positive things like, “You built me a home, you are the most generous member of our town, you give money to children.” All the opposite of what he had done. This is so powerful and a reminder that we can change how we think about ourselves and how others think about themselves simply through positive affirmations and choosing kindness. This scene makes me cry just thinking about it!
5. What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m a former singer who did a month tour in Scotland with recordings of originals songs and worship music.
6. What would you name the autobiography of your life?
“This Is Very Weird”
7. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I love styling fashion shoots and decorating spaces. I love trying new restaurants and learning how to cook new meals. I also adore being outside and camping.
8. What are your top three TV shows you’re streaming right now?
Currently, I’m watching “The Bear,” “Lodge 49,” and “Alone.”
9. Where’s your favorite travel destination and why?
Lanai, Hawaii is the most magical place I’ve been to. Everything is so clear at night that the sky above has moonbows! It’s like a rainbow but at night. They’re formed from the reflections of the moon onto the water.
10. Why is Grant Halliburton Foundation’s mission important to you?
I’ve always been a huge advocate of mental health. I’m the blunt friend who tells you to see a therapist or connects you to one. As someone who struggled to keep going and held the hands of so many people struggling, it’s a privilege to be part of a team dedicated to mental health of all ages. Grant Halliburton Foundation strengthens our communities access and I’m honored to be part of this growing team.
