Hope-Filled Holiday Wishes to You!
As we gather with family and friends for the holidays, I want you to know that we're grateful for all the ways you've supported our mission and work this year. The future looks bright for Grant Halliburton Foundation. We've never been better positioned to make a positive impact on youth mental health in North Texas.
There were plenty of moments worth celebrating in 2022, and I’d like to highlight a few that we're especially proud of:
Our Thrive Strategy is helping schools change the way they address mental health. It has grown from 56 to 119 schools this year.
Our Hope Squad program, a student-led effort to promote mental health and suicide prevention in schools, has grown from 16 to 49 schools this year.
The number of people calling our Here For Texas Mental Health Navigation Line this year is up almost 30%. We've become the go-to for people seeking mental health resources.
This year, we launched GHF YP, a young professionals group for DFW-area young adults in their 20s and 30s. It already has nearly 100 members.
In April, we officially moved into our new home at Pegasus Park––a brilliant vision from Lyda Hill Philanthropies to create a community of nonprofits working collaboratively.
All of this is made possible by your support, which allows us to be in schools and communities, day in and day out, in the pursuit of better mental health, stronger community resources, and fewer teen suicides.
As the end of the year approaches, so does the deadline for making charitable contributions eligible for a 2022 tax deduction. If you're contemplating year-end gifts, please consider Grant Halliburton Foundation. Your donation will help us reach more young people with vital life-saving information in 2023.
On behalf of all of us at the Foundation, we hope you and your loved ones have a safe, warm, and joyous holiday, and we wish you plenty of health and happiness in the new year.
